Our 2008-2009 Classes are Forming Now!
ShivaShakti Synthesis is committed to providing affordable,
non-elitist Yoga Alliance 200 and 500 hour certified yoga
teacher trainings to individuals who have a desire to focus
on the therapeutic benefits of yoga and who wish to teach
yoga to a specific population. We offer a sanctuary for inner
exploration and healing of the whole person, body, mind and
spirit. Whether you're new to yoga and looking for ways to
develop a personal practice, or a yoga teacher looking for
professional development opportunities with nationally accredited
teachers, ShivaShakti Synthesis has just what you're looking
for.
This teacher training is offered each year to people living
in the Midwest who have a strong desire to become a Registered
Yoga Teacher (RYT), and who feel, because of family or work
responsibilities or financial constraints, they cannot spend
the time or money on residential training, or they find they
learn better when they have more time to reflect on and integrate
the material they are studying, with the support offered from
group discussion and a committed mentor.
ShivaShakti Synthesis focuses on assisting people in creating
a structure for understanding their lives and helping them
move through their current set of life lessons with grace
and equanimity. It is understood that to assist others, we
must first experience ourselves. The program is designed to
provide the opportunity for self-inquiry and development so
we can authentically offer our gifts to the benefit of all
beings.
ShivaShakti Synthesis is also about honoring matter and consciousness,
sun and moon, and male and female. History informs us that
when one or the other predominates, we, as well as our environment,
become woefully imbalanced. In honoring individuality, we
find our unity.
